This year I will be posting the emails of Council members and the Mayor on a weekly basis. The public can see what your elected officials are saying to each other when they aren’t together on Tuesday nights at a Council meeting.

All pertinent emails will be posted here, except those that are deemed attorney-client priviledged or confidential communications dealing with personnel, lawsuits or the purchase and sale of property as it relates to pricing. I may or may not post the innocuous emails like meeting locations, and houskeeping items, but anything substantive will most definitely be posted.

(Lack of) Progress report:

Emails are not unfortunately provided electronically, even though they could be.

The best solution is for the City to simply make them available online, as is their duty.

I still maintain that the City Council needs a blog or bulletin board where all Council and Mayor communications can be published online for all the world to see.
